Open to all Adults and Youth—Childcare TBD

Tuesdays September 12 to November 21, 2017
7:00-8:45 pm

Location: Cindy McBride’s Home
Leader: Randy Maranville

“Follow me,” Jesus said to men and women of all backgrounds. And he is still
saying it today. But how do we do that? This Fall we are starting a new Sermon
Series on the Life and Teaching of Jesus, called “Following Jesus.” Each Sunday
we will look at an aspect of Jesus’ life and teaching with the goals of getting to
know Jesus, observing the kind of life He lived, and understanding the kind of person
and the kind of life Jesus is inviting us to. During the week before each Sunday,
Community Group members will read and reflect on the aspect of Jesus’ Life
and Teaching that will be talked about the next Sunday. During our group time,
group members will share observations and discuss how the passage helps us
follow Jesus and live the eternal kind of life that He lived, and invites us to live.

Materials needed: Bible. The sections are short and can be read during the week.

When we learn WHY we do the things we do, we are empowered to focus on healing our wounds and changing our behaviors. Then we begin to grow, mature and develop true character and healthy relationships. Life Skills equips us to break free from, and to reverse, the cycle of family dysfunction passed down generationally. Life Skills helps fix the brain’s thinking and its associated protective behaviors, which were a result of a lifetime of wounding.

We will cover about 1 lesson per week throughout the course.

Materials Needed: Pen, 3-ring notebook binder; Life Skills workbook (provided)
