Missions – Hungary

Since 2006, John and Zsófi Wilson have served in Budapest, Hungary with United World Mission, focusing on the renewal of the Church, the re-evangelization of Hungary, and the transformation of society.  Consequently, they have trained churches across the country to run Alpha, Marriage and Parenting Courses, as well as invested in the spiritual formation of new believers to local church leaders. Due to Hungary’s context in Eastern Europe, the Wilsons have also led initiatives to minister to the poor and marginalized of their society.

Pray for the next season of ministry as John moves from leading the National Alpha Office to serving as a local church pastor, while developing and launching a Hungarian language ministry to reach the youth in Hungary.

With a war raging in neighboring Ukraine, pray that the Church will be a source of light and hope, and that Hungarians will continue to exhibit generosity toward so many refugees, despite the growing economic challenges of soaring inflation and energy costs.
