Vineyard Church of San Antonio is served in a full-time capacity by Pastor Randy Maranville and Pastor Clara Maranville. Pastor Randy was born May 26, 1957, in Glendale, California. Pastor Clara was born January 21, 1957 in Los Angeles, California. Randy and Clara, have five daughters. Three are married, one is in college, and one is a teenager still living at home. They also have four grandchildren, two boys and two girls.  Both Randy and Clara graduated in 1979 from Westmont College, a Christian Liberal Arts College in Santa Barbara, California. Pastor Randy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in American history. Pastor Clara received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, with a minor in Greek. Pastor Randy also graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1990 with a Masters of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies and an emphasis in leadership development.

While students at Westmont College, Randy and Clara were founding directors of Potter's Clay, a student led mission outreach ministry of Westmont College that continues to this day. In that same year, during their first year of marriage, in 1978, Randy and Clara began their church ministry roles as Youth workers at Goleta Community Church. In two years, Randy and Clara will be celebrating fifty years of life, thirty years of marriage and thirty years of ministry.

While students at Fuller Seminary, in 1982, Randy and Clara became involved in Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Anaheim, Pastored by John Wimber through a course Pastor Wimber taught at Fuller, called, "Signs, Wonders and Church Growth." In 1984 Randy and Clara left California to assist another couple in the planting of the first Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona. Five years later they assisted another couple in planting another Vineyard Church in Phoenix. In 1995, Randy and Clara and their five daughters left Arizona to plant Vineyard Church of San Antonio (VCSA), which incorporated in August of 1995 and launched Sunday morning services in November 1996. Besides pastoring VCSA, Randy and Clara have served the Vineyard USA as a church planting coordinators for the Southwest Region of the US since 1998.

Pastors Randy and Clara see themselves as "Life Coaches" committed to "Coaching people to win in life." In this role, they have assisted children, youth and adults in the areas of life skills, marriage and family skills, life purpose, relational skills, character and leadership. Their vision is to assist people to encounter the presence of God, experience genuine friendships, embrace personal wholeness and express love to others. The Maranvilles are very passionate about helping people become all they can be. They believe that every person is created with a purpose. They have created a variety of training materials and have spoken at a variety of workshops, conferences and retreats during their 28 yeas of ministry and have worked with hundreds of individuals to assist them to identify their interests, passions and calling, helping them to fulfill their life purpose and mission.
