RDK OUTREACH, SEPTEMBER 24, 2011
SAN ANTONIO, TX
MILIARY MINISTRY

What a blessing!

Our local Wal-Mart allowed the Military Ministry to set up a table with RDK’s, Bibles, Gospel tracts, Psalm 91 books and anything else we wanted.
As folks passed by we invited them to “Send a Message of Hope to our Heroes” by writing a personal note and placing it in an RDK.
The response was heartwarming.  Many thanked us.  Children were delighted and those who could not write drew pictures.
One grandmother was overjoyed to have a Spanish/English  Four Laws as one of her young grandchildren speaks very little English and wants to learn.  She said, “He doesn’t know the Gospel and he wants to learn English”.  I can use this for both!
A woman I shared with allowed me to pray with her.  She cried as she walked away.
One hundred twenty (120) notes were written and inserted into the RDK’s.

Fifty (50) Bibles were given.
Fifty (50) Psalm 91’s were given.
Eighty (80) Gospel tracts were given.

We are confident that the Holy Spirit moved mightily as God’s Word accomplished what it was sent out to do.  To God Be the Glory!
BIBLE STUDIES

The Lord continues to open doors for us at Fort Sam Houston. Along with the Sunday Bible studies growing, there are two W ednesday evening Bible Studies The first was for Soldiers of the 187 th and 264 the Medical Battalions, and one for sailors. Each study is held in their barracks.

NAVY

A woman who came to the Navy Bible study realized she did not know why believers are not condemned. W e went to the Scriptures and then to John Chapter 3. The Lord brought one more “daughter”
into his family! W e are so grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Lord’s harvest!

The first case of RDK’s went to the USS New York, the ship that 70% of her hull was made from steel from the Twin towers. To God be the glory !

ARMY

For weeks one of the soldiers would write a comment: “I don’t think I can be saved.”. Then one week we had the joy of reading this: “This class has taught me that even though I thought I could not be saved, I was wrong.“ Thank you Lord for saving this one.

UNTIL MY LAST BREATH

We had the privilege of sharing the ministry with the “prime timers” of a Baptist Church on two occasions. On the first, Bill presented the ministry and on the second, Jeanette shared a teaching on Psalm 92:5 which says “I will bear fruit in my old age” W e also gave the group a copy each of Bill Bright’s booklet, “As Long As I Have Breath”, which is addressed to senior citizens.

April 2012

Dearest Saints in Christ,
This week I had a call from a most faithful prayer warrior.  She asked me about the praise/prayer letter I had been sending and said the last one she received was in December.
Wow!  Thank you, sister.
James 5:16  tells us the prayers of the righteous are powerful, effective and availeth much!
PRAISES:  There is so much MUCH!  PRAISE GOD!  WE ARE SO GRATEFUL, THANKFUL FOR HIS WORK IN AND THROUGH US:

The Fort Sam Houston Sunday morning Bible study continues to grow.  This Bible study is at 8am and each week more are attending and growing in Christ.  Several has come to Christ and we are humbled.  This study is open  to soldiers, sailors, and airmen.
One of the soldiers (Army) in our class has started a Friday night Bible Study in his barracks.  He shared that the first week there were 2, then 7 the next and then 10.  This man is commited to our Lord and to sharing the Gospel with others.
The women's retreat is coming soon.  I am eagerly anticipating what our Lord will do in the lives of the women who attend.  Praise God for His opportunities.
The Wednesday night Bible study for the sailors continues to grow also.  Gunny (Bill) is so filled with joy at the devotion of these sailors to our Lord.
I Praise God for the character and caliber of these men and women who are part of the Chapel program.  These soldiers, sailors and airmen love Jesus and want to learn to live for Him and to allow Him to live through them!

PRAYER REQUESTS:
For Christina.  We had been sharing/studying together.  Met several times.  She was eager.  Something has happened.  Eagerness not apparent????
Continued growth (numbers and in spirits) in the Bible studies and chapel services.
Strength for Chaplains.  Harvest is plenty.  Workers few.
Women's retreat; April 20 & 21 at Fort Sam Houston.  Salvations.  Revival.  Healing.  Deliverance.  Direction.
God's filling of His Holy Spirit for me (Jeanette) as I prepare to teach at the retreat and during that time.
Family:  especially grandson Kenny Jr.  (separated from wife).  He is emotionally spent.
Tony:  don't hear from him much.
Kenneth:  continue on the path the Lord has set him on.

Pray for Bill that he will continue in good health and be grateful for God's gift of "bearing fruit in our old age!"
Pray as the Lord leads for the military and for us as we serve those who serve us.
THANK YOU ALWAYS FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS TO PRAY.
LOVE IN JESUS,
JEANETTE
