Several years ago, I got a call from one of our pregnant ladies. She was in the emergency room & was starting to bleed. I dashed to the hospital to be with her. I prayed for her baby to be spared. It was a sad day when she lost her little baby. From that point on, I decided that I did not want to have one more baby lost to miscarriage and that we were utilizing poorly one of the greatest weapons God had given to us as his children, prayer. I started to commit to pray for our pregnant ladies during the duration of their pregnancy. Shortly after I made this commitment to prayer for our ladies, we had up to nine women pregnant at the same time. I could not keep up with the level of prayer and care I wanted for our ladies so I began to recruit praying women from our church to assist in praying/mentoring these precious babies and their moms. This season created the ministry of Ladies in Waiting. In the last five years, we have safely prayed many babies into this world.
