Short Term Mission Trips to Costa Rica

Summer 2007 and 2008

July 4-13, 2007

On July 4th, 2007, almost twenty of our congregation traveled to Central America to be a part of this plan of God's. We traveled to the beautiful tropical country of Costa Rica. After landing in the capital of San Jose, the team was transported to Pura Vida Mission Training Center for three days of boot camp. The next five days were spent doing cross cultural ministry. The team worked directly with a church that is located in the area. Their ministry time was spent landscaping, performing dramas, giving encouraging words, conducting a Vacation Bible School, and visiting homes of local residents.

Following the five days of missions work, the team was given one day to vacation. They spent this day white water rafting and zip lining through the rainforest.
